We left Native Spirits Winery and reached Branson, MO, a day before the Connection Rally so we spent the night at another Harvest Host, Missouri Ridge Distillery, which was a few miles from our destination. We enjoyed good bourbon and a quiet night after a 5 hour drive from Norman, OK.

The Rally was held at America’s Best Campground. Unlike previous Pleasure-Way rallies at Hershey, there was no RV show to distract guests. Mornings started with breakfast followed by a tech talks at 10:30, lunch and another technical session in the afternoon. It was a great time to learn more about how to maintain our RV and to also meet Pleasure-Way owners from across the county. Please-Way had two of its top engineering employees on site to lead tech talks and assist in minor repairs during the day.

The big evening event involved a “Hill Billy Themed” party after dinner. “Hill Billy” attire was encouraged. We were a little hesitant about dressing up but managed to put together a costume that was relevant to the theme, hopefully without being offensive to people in the Appalachian region.

Music was provided by Ozark Mountain Music, a group of veteran performers from Branson. Phil Nickel, Customer Manager, from Pleasure-Way reprised his much requested “Ghost Chickens in the Sky” performance. Phil is in the chicken head in the video below.

One thing that was sorely missing from this event was new Pleasure-Way vehicles to tour. Pleasure-Way’s local dealer in the Branson Area was unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict so the ONLY new Pleasure Way vehicle was our 2024 Plateau XLTS. With our approval, we held a few hours of “open house” during the rally and had more than 40 people tour our RV.

Pleasure-Way RVs have been a rare sight during our travels so to see a campground full of all makes and ages of Pleasure-Ways is a real treat, and to meet the owners from all walks of life is really special for us. There were a total of 110 PW vans and 200 people in Branson! We always leave more knowledgeable about RV travel in general and with new friends.
