Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bowbells, ND

Located just a few a minutes walk from the Bowbells campground is this Catholic home mission church.

A “Home Mission Church” is the name for dioceses and parishes in the United States which cannot provide basic pastoral services to Catholics such as Mass and sacraments, religious education, and ministry training for priests, deacons, religious sisters and lay people without outside help.

We celebrated mass with fewer than a dozen people. We will be in Canada by the end of the day.

  1. Hello their Joe and Sue,

Sending summer Cheer! Luv your travel notes. I am so happy to recall your earlier visit a while ago here with your uncle Jim, Thank you again.

The feeling of traveling hearing about your RV camping is so thrilling not that I have read every page, I wish I could take my own notes! The Journal is a terrific travel education.

Happy belated Independence celebration 250th! How lucky for you to have bypassed the oppressive heat.

Most importantly have fun. Happy 4th of July.
